Chapter 11 - endowments

What is the difference between a permanent endowment, a term endowment, and a quasi-endowment?

1 comment:

  1. If a donor gave money to be invested permanently, the income can be restricted or unrestricted, then it is a permanent endowment and permanently restricted. If a donor gave money and said that it was to be invested for 10 years, then released, it would be a term endowment and temporarily restricted. If a donor gave an unrestricted gift, but the governing body decided to create an endowment, it would be called a quasi-endowment and would be unrestricted.
