1 comment:

  1. The government-wide Statement of Net Assets measures assets, liabilities, and balances of net assets on an accrual basis with an economic resources measurement focus. Governmental activities and business-type activities are displayed separately in columns, then summed and dispayed as the Primary Government in another column. Component units are totaled and displayed separately in a column on the right.

There are three Net Asset classifications for the government-wide Statement of Net Assets:
    1. Invested in Capital Assets, Net Related Debt, which reports the total capital assets, less the accumulated depreciation and outstanding debt relating to those capital assets.
    2. Restricted Net Assets, which reports all the resources that are restricted for use by external parties such as creditors or contributors, laws or provisions.
    3. Unrestricted Net Assets, which is the remaining balance of net assets left after the invested in capital assetes and restricted net assets sections are deducted.
